The Amazing Spider-Man Books
If there is a comic character that has fascinated people for many years, then it is Spider Man. The character has inspired so many people such that many companies have dedicated whole lines of merchandise to him. These merchandise range from books, movies and various figures.
Over the years, there have been various books dedicated to this character. Actually, the amazing spider man books first came into print in the early 1960’s. Ideally, the first spider man book was the Amazing Fantasy published in the last quarter of 1962. Written by Stan Lee, this book told the story of a boy who crawled walls and saved people at their hour of need.
The release of Amazing Fantasy was so successful that a whole line of spiderman comic books were released in the following years. Initially, the amazing spider man books that were created were not elaborative enough. However, these books have been developed over the years and currently the spiderman comic books top the list of the best comic books ever written in history. Despite these improvements, the story line revolves around Peter Parker, a high school student who gains special powers after being bitten by a stray spider while at the laboratory.
The first 38 issues of the amazing spider man books were created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko between 1962 and 1966. Although the two writers stopped writing about Spiderman at the 38th issue, they were still actively involved in creating the story lines until after the 100th edition was published.
The amazing spider man comic series continued for a span of more than 40 years and by the time it was discontinued, over 441 books had been produced. In 1998, the company tasked with printing these comic books did away with the first issue and developed the story beginning with the second book in the series. This is because the first book was a little vague and it wasn’t receiving any notable sales.
In 2003, the same company scraped the first 57 titles and began marketing the comic books from issue no 58. Actually, the success of the books was so huge such that the producers were printing three issues of the series on monthly basis. This signifies a big success not only on comic books but also on any book ever printed. This success is still ongoing and currently two books from this series are produced on monthly basis.
